Privacy Policy
Plain-language notice of what this website collects and why. Effective October 22, 2026.
Who we are. This website is operated by Averstone Logistics LLC, a limited liability company based in Missouri ("we", "us"). Questions about this policy: info@averstonelogistics.com or (571) 619-8115. Our mailing address is available on request and will be published here once we open.
What we collect
- Information you type into our inquiry, callback and contact forms: name, company, work email, phone (optional), your role, how you found us, and shipment details such as pickup and delivery areas, dates, freight description, weight, dimensions and notes.
- Download requests: the email address you enter to receive a free checklist, guide or spreadsheet, and which file you asked for.
- Freight Market Pulse sign-ups: the email address you enter in the sign-up box, and the page, date and time you entered it (see the Pulse section below).
- A record of each submission: the page you submitted from, the date and time, whether the email to us was delivered, and a hashed (not plain-text) form of your IP address that we use to spot spam and limit repeat submissions. A hash is not the same as anonymous: it can sometimes be matched back to an address.
- Technical data collected automatically: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, approximate location derived from your IP, and how you interact with pages (scrolling, clicks). Our web host also keeps standard server logs.
How we use it
- To respond to your inquiry and keep it on file so we can contact you about it, including the day our FMCSA property-broker registration becomes active.
- To send you the download you requested and, at most, one follow-up about that request.
- To send the Freight Market Pulse to people who signed up for it, as described below. We do not run any other newsletter or automated marketing campaign, and we do not send marketing text messages.
- To understand how the site is used and improve it (analytics, described below).
- To keep the site secure and prevent abuse (rate limiting, spam detection).
Where your form submissions go
Submissions are emailed to our business inbox (hosted by Titan Email) and a backup copy is kept in a private log file on our web host (Hostinger), in a folder that is not served to the public, so no inquiry is lost. Shipment details may be shared with the FMCSA-registered motor carrier that will perform your move once we are able to arrange it, and only for that purpose. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we never resell quote requests to other brokers.
Freight Market Pulse email list
The Pulse is a free, dated market note on this site. If you enter your email address in the sign-up box on a Pulse page, you are asking us to email you when a new issue is published.
- What we send: a short note with a link to the new issue. We aim to publish weekly but do not promise a schedule or a number of emails.
- Who sends it: Averstone Logistics LLC, a Missouri-based company, from info@averstonelogistics.com. For now we manage the list ourselves and do not use an outside email-delivery service; if that changes, we will name the service here first.
- What we keep: your email address and the date and page of sign-up, in the private submission log and our business inbox. We use it only to send the Pulse and to answer you about it. We do not confirm sign-ups with a separate email, so please enter only your own address; if someone entered yours by mistake, tell us and we will remove it.
- How to unsubscribe: reply to any Pulse email, or write to info@averstonelogistics.com, with the word "unsubscribe". We remove the address promptly and no later than 10 business days after we get your message. Until we add an automatic unsubscribe link, this is the only method.
- How long we keep it: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
Analytics and session replay
Google Analytics 4. We use Google Analytics to measure visits and page interactions. It sets cookies (for example _ga) and sends technical data to Google. Analytics is on by default unless your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal or you have chosen "Decline" in the analytics notice. We have switched off Google's advertising storage, ad user data and ad personalization settings. No form contents, names, emails or phone numbers are sent to analytics. Learn how Google uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on or by choosing "Decline" in the analytics notice on this site.
Address suggestions. Place fields (pickup and delivery on the quote forms and the estimator, and the address boxes on the bill of lading generator) suggest matches as you type. Once you have typed three or more characters that include a letter, those characters are sent from your browser to the Photon search service at photon.komoot.io, which is built on OpenStreetMap data, and its reply lists matching places. Nothing else from the form is sent, we do not receive or store those keystrokes, and typing a ZIP code sends nothing. You can ignore the suggestions and type the full address yourself.
Your choices. The analytics notice lets you accept or decline. Declining turns analytics cookies off. We honor the Global Privacy Control browser signal as an opt-out of Google Analytics. Our site does not respond to "Do Not Track" signals because there is no agreed standard for them. You can also block cookies in your browser; the site works without them.
Cookies and local storage
We use: analytics cookies (described above); a small browser-storage entry that remembers your analytics choice; and session storage that carries your details between our own forms during a visit so you don't retype them (it is cleared when you close the tab). None of these are used for advertising.
Our free tools (hotshot estimator, pallet calculator, Quote-Ready Checklist, bottleneck quiz and bill of lading generator) save your recent runs and drafts in this browser's local storage so they appear on My Estimates or when you return. That data stays on your device, is never sent to us unless you submit our form, can be deleted on that page or by clearing this site's data, and Safari may delete it after seven days of Safari use without interacting with the site.
Third parties that process data for us
- Hostinger (web hosting and server logs)
- Titan Email (the business mailbox that receives form submissions and sends our replies)
- Google (Analytics; Search Console; fonts served from Google Fonts, which receive your IP address and browser details when a page loads)
- The FMCSA-registered motor carrier performing your shipment, once we can arrange it
Retention
Inquiry, download and Pulse records are kept in our private submission log and business inbox for up to 24 months from the date you send them, then deleted, unless a legal or business reason (such as an open conversation or a transaction record) requires keeping a specific record longer. You can ask for yours to be removed sooner by emailing us. Pulse addresses are also removed when you unsubscribe. Google Analytics keeps its event data for no more than 14 months. We do not use session-recording tools.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Form submissions are normally emailed to our business inbox through an authenticated, encrypted connection, and the backup copy is kept in a private log on our web host. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot promise absolute security.
Your rights and requests
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or withdraw consent, by emailing info@averstonelogistics.com. We will respond to privacy requests within 30 days. You will not be treated differently for making one. We do not sell personal information and have not done so in the preceding 12 months. Residents of some states have additional privacy rights under state law; tell us where you live when you write and we will respond as that law requires.
Children
This site is for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes
We will post changes here with a new effective date. Material changes affecting information already collected will be announced on this page before they take effect. This version replaces the one effective October 17, 2026.
Effective October 22, 2026.
