Why Averstone Logistics exists
Freight looks different from the shipper's desk than from the dock. The same problems show up again and again. Appointments get set that no truck could realistically make. Quotes look clean until the invoice arrives with charges nobody mentioned. Questions get vague answers. None of that is inevitable, and most of it can be avoided by asking the right questions before a load moves.
What that will look like in practice
Realistic appointments
Pickup and delivery times should be set around drive time, hours-of-service limits, facility hours and the real behavior of busy docks. If a delivery date doesn't work, you should hear that before you book instead of finding out after the receiver refuses the load. That is the standard we aim to meet once we open.
Itemized quotes
A written quote should be itemized: what is included, what could be added and what triggers it, and how long the price holds. Anything outside the quote should get your approval before it reaches an invoice. The How We Work page shows the format we aim to follow.
Straight answers
If a load belongs on a different trailer, we'll tell you. If a lane falls outside where we focus, we'll say so. If you ask us for something today that has to wait until our registration is active, we'll say that too. And once we open, if something goes wrong in transit, you'll hear what happened and when the next update is coming.
